“Where Is Love” is the title track from the Adam’s Attic release in April. The song calls everyone to make a change and find a better way. In the video, Christian Mohl portrays a young man missing passion in his life – love, love for people, and love for the world around him. As he enters the dream world, he skeptically watches from a window. When he hears the song explode, sees the passionate crowd, feels the roaring fire, he joins them and connects to their passion. When he awakens, he has experienced a change.

To direct the “Where Is Love” music video, the young film-making prodigy, Ky Wildermuth, was chosen. From start to finish, Wildermuth was hands-on writing the story board, casting Christian Mohl as the lead actor, directing the cast and crew, editing the video, and delivering the final cut.

In July 2010, Adam’s Attic was introduced to Wildermuth and was very drawn in by his story. In 2008, Wildermuth went on the set of New Moon after winning a contest for a short spoof music video. On set, a producer from The Cimarron Group interviewed the aspiring young filmmaker for the behind the scenes DVD piece. After the interview, Wildermuth was invited to work at The Cimarron Group during the summer of 2009 as a seventeen year-old. Upon high school graduation in 2010, he joined the ranks as a full-time assistant editor at The Cimarron Group, where he currently works.

Love calls people to act. Love is inspires Adam’s Attic to write and share their music. As fans revisit the band’s previous releases, the group’s intention has always been the same. Love can change a life “in the blink of an eye“. Love can take you on a personal journey farther than you ever imagined through various “skylines and city lights“. Love can motivate a band to use a stage to influence and identify with people in a positive way when they sing, “We’ll lift up our voices and scream out loud. Where is love?” After all, Adam’s Attic has first-hand experience of natural disasters like Hurricane Katrina, broken hearts, cancer scares of family members, and the Gulf oil spill.

When writing “Where Is Love,” the intention was to make a very personal statement on a global level. The Gulf oil spill crisis pierced New Orleans’s sense of reclamation after Hurricane Katrina. Although the band now resides in southern California, their home town is New Orleans. With his lyrics, Joe Henry states, “I wanted to encourage people to be resilient even though they felt like they were falling down again. I wanted them to hear and respond to the voice of love and raise their hands and try.”

On August 9, Adam’s Attic will be a featured artist on ReverbNation.com. In September, the “Where Is Love” video will be programmed at outdoor malls, major department stores, retail outlets, fast-food chains, casinos, cruise lines, and hotels. Adam’s Attic has picked up endorsements from Gibson Guitars, Elixir Strings, Splawn Amplification, and Entertainer’s Secret Throat Spray.

I’ve always searched for that magical guitar sound that I heard in my mind – I can hear it whenever I close my eyes and it takes me back to childhood and the time I first noticed the guitar.  At that moment, a switch was flipped on in my soul and thus began the relentless and seemingly never-ending pursuit of that elusive sound.  I bought CD after CD and searched for that guitar tone in the music.  I turned the radio dial from station to station trying to find it.  I couldn’t get enough!

When I picked up the instrument, I practiced hard to get my chops up.  While my friends socialized, I stayed at home, locking myself into my bedroom, where I played along with the greats such as Journey, Chicago, and other guitar-driven bands.  I imagined I was on stage with them playing before a packed arena!

When I was able to start investing in equipment, the real search for that magical tone began and over the course of a decade and longer, I spent my money and time researching what was right for me.  I went from rig to rig chasing that ghost – until I stumbled into a string of videos on YouTube showcasing the Splawn Quick Rod.

I researched them as much as I could and then the moment came when I closed my eyes, and pulled the trigger on one.  From the very first rehearsal with it, I knew this amp would be a game changer, as it’s the first amp I’ve owned that combines traits of the amps I so favored in the past, but sold due to a compromise in one area or another.  It truly is an excellent blend of aggression and beauty and it does what I expect – it inspires me.
